ICEES 2026 | Shanghai, China
The 10th International Conference on Energy and Environmental Science (ICEES 2026) was successfully held in Shanghai from March 27th to 29th, 2026. Jointly organized by Tongji University and Chongqing Jiaotong University, the conference was co-chaired by Professor Li Zhengwei and Professor Chen Jianli from Tongji University, and Professor Liu Yanan from Chongqing Jiaotong University. The conference attracted over 300 experts, scholars, and researchers from multiple countries and regions. Utilizing a combination of online and offline formats, the conference focused on cutting-edge advances and practical innovations in energy and environmental science, exploring future pathways for green and sustainable development.
The conference officially opened on March 28th. Professor Yuan Feng from Tongji University attended the opening ceremony and delivered the opening speech. In his address, Professor Feng extended warm welcome and sincere gratitude on behalf of the organizers to the attending experts, scholars, speakers, and volunteer teams. He emphasized the significance of the conference in promoting academic exchange, driving technological innovation, and fostering cross-regional collaboration. He hoped that this conference would further advance cooperation and development in the fields of energy and environment, contributing to the sustainable development of global ecosystems. The opening ceremony was co-hosted by Professor Li Zhengwei and Professor Chen Jianli from Tongji University.

The three-day conference featured multiple parallel sessions and academic dialogue segments, providing extensive opportunities for academic exchange. In addition to keynote presentations, the conference included a Climate Resilience and Green Transition academic dialogue and Green Building journal sub-forum, 26 parallel sessions, author oral presentations, Best Student Paper Competition, poster presentations, and online parallel sessions, providing participants with ample opportunities to showcase research results, exchange academic perspectives, and expand collaboration networks.
Keynote Speakers
During the academic report sessions, Professor Yuan Feng from Tongji University, Professor Zhang Yinping from Tsinghua University, Professor Yu Zhen from China Academy of Building Research, Professor Ding Yong from Chongqing University, Professor Cheol Soo Park from Seoul National University, and Professor Xie Jingchao from Beijing University of Technology delivered outstanding keynote presentations on frontier topics including sustainable environmental technologies, performance-based construction of recycled materials, indoor environment health, energy-environment supply-demand coupling, causal AI and building environment control, and offshore island building environment regulation.
Invited Speakers
On the afternoon of March 29th, in addition to the keynote presentations, the conference also featured invited presentations from numerous scholars. The session was chaired by Professor Liu Yanan from Chongqing Jiaotong University and Professor Liu Jianlin from Donghua University.
Conference Captures
The closing ceremony was hosted by Professor Li Zhengwei, featuring the best paper awards ceremony and handover ceremony. Nanjing University of Science and Technology will host ICEES 2027, and we look forward to gathering in Nanjing next year. As an important international academic platform in the field of energy and environmental science, ICEES has been successfully held for ten editions, with previous conferences held in Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, and other countries, achieving significant impact. The successful convening of this conference has further promoted international cooperation and development in energy and environmental science, contributing positively to a green, low-carbon, and sustainable future.
